I’m not a customer of Bank of America, and I’ve received calls from this number, but they’ve all been disconnected. I tried calling back, but it was transferred to another number, and no one answered.

Everybody encounters issues when choosing a service provider, so If you use Bank of America, commonly known as BOA, for your banking needs, it’s important to know that you can contact customer service at (800) 432-1000) in case something goes wrong.
The BOA customer service number is the best choice for anyone who needs immediate access to a live customer service representative. You can ask for bank statement, report fraud or scam, balances inquiry, block or report lost or stolen cards, and many more essential services by calling the Bank of America customer service number.
If you are getting spam calls then you must report it to the bank.

I received a call from 8004321000 this morning with a robotic voice, and I am certain it was a fraudulent call because I do not have an account with this bank and do not wish to open one at this time.

Just got a call saying they were from BOA and someone tried to open an account in my name (They knew my name) and that they used a transaction from Zelle to put $ into the account and they gave me a number to call to dispute it. I dont have Zelle, I dont have BOA and the number they gave when googled doesn’t show up as associated with zelle. I just stayed on the line to waste their time while I worked.

This is not scam phone number but scammers maybe using it.
Banks, like Bank of America, generally do not call customers asking for sensitive personal information like passwords or social security numbers. If you receive a call from a number claiming to be from Bank of America, but are unsure if it is legitimate, it is best to hang up and call the bank’s customer service number found on their official website or on the back of your bank card.
Do not provide any personal information to the caller, as it may be a phishing scam. It’s always better to be cautious and verify the identity of the caller before giving out any information.
Protect yourself from phishing scams by staying alert to the tactics used by criminals. They impersonate reputable sources to deceive individuals into revealing their personal and financial information such as passwords and credit card numbers. These scams often occur through fake emails or websites made to look like they come from a legitimate source.

This just happened to me. Opted not to get connected automatically to the number for Zelle and then looked it up. Definitely a scam. But used had my cell phone and former address which made me initially think it was real.

I recieved same type call from a Man with accent called to tell me he was calling from Bank of America and someone has opened 2 accounts through a Zelle account ( I dont have BOA or Zelle either) in my name and he asked what Bank I used, I asked him why would I tell you that, he stated so he could cancelt the accounts before I was charged. I did not give him any info. I then asked how i knew he was calling from BOA and he told me to google the number and then call him back. I googled the number while he was still on the phone and told him what I was seeing was that this number was a scam, he stated that I should just call the number back and I would see that it is a BOA number and they would direct the call back to him and he hung up the call. I did not return the call. The number he called from was 1-800-432-1000. I also went onto the DONOTCALL.gov site and reported!
